PEWAUKEE, Wis. (October 30, 2018) - The Gustave A. Larson Company recently hosted its 6th Annual Charity Golf Outing events in Colorado, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin in memory of the late Karl G. Larson. Customers, employees and suppliers gathered for a day of golf and camaraderie to support the Karl Larson HVAC Research Fund.
The Karl Larson HVAC Research Fund was established to support the Larson HVAC Building Systems Laboratory at the University of Colorado-Boulder that was endowed by Karl and Madeleine Larson in 1994. The lab is used for educational and research purposes and is designed for dynamic testing of complete and full-scale commercial HVAC and building systems. The research fund was established to support the lab and award graduate and undergraduate students’ scholarships to the University of Colorado studying HVAC/R.
Each year funds are raised from raffle and mulligan ticket sales, support from our supplier sponsorships and a Gustave A. Larson Company match. This year marks our highest donation to date, raising more than $47,000. Over the past six years, we have raised $222,250, which further honors Karl’s legacy of giving back to the HVAC industry.
A special thank you goes to all of our sponsors, especially our Platinum level sponsors, Advanced Distributor Products and ServiceFirst. We appreciate the support from all involved in helping making these events a success year after year.
