Gustave A. Larson Celebrates 2021 PEAQ Award Winners

7/6/2022
PEWAUKEE, Wis. (July 5, 2022) The Gustave A. Larson Company recently celebrated the 33rd anniversary of its supplier evaluation program, Partners in Excellence and Quality (PEAQ). An awards dinner was held at the Blue Mound Golf and Country Club in Wauwatosa, Wisc. to honor the supplier winners for 2021.

The PEAQ Program was created out of the desire of Karl G. Larson to strengthen and show appreciation for the partnership between the Larson Company and its business partners. The companies honored with the 2021 PEAQ Award were Chemours, Honeywell International, Allied Air Enterprises, Advanced Distributor Products, and Nu-Calgon.

The winners are chosen through an evaluation of data collected throughout the year, considering various measurements of the quality of partnering in business. Factors considered in the supplier evaluation process include product quality, profitability, marketing, sales support, electronic commerce capabilities, on-time deliveries, lead-time, warranty policy, credit terms, business policies and procedures. Every department within the Larson Company has input into the evaluation process and selection of its winning suppliers and sales representatives.

The Larson Company held a separate awards dinner to honor the top supplier salesperson for 2021 in each of its regions. The winners for outstanding salesperson in the East region are Calvin Schmeling of Nu-Calgon, Dave Lindahl of Heatcraft, and Anthony Belokas of Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating. Winners in the Central region were Brookes Rajala of RAC Sales Inc./Heatcraft, Bill Wilkin of Sporlan, and Penny Buch of Moore Sales. Finally, Brian Bush, representing Nu-Calgon, Matt Butler of MJM Associates, and Jim Funk of Honeywell International were the winners in the West region.

The primary goal of the PEAQ Program is to encourage open communication between the Larson Company and its suppliers on issues, policies, and procedures for the mutual benefit of both companies. “We truly appreciate the partnerships with our PEAQ award winning suppliers and local sales representation in each of our regions, especially given the supply chain challenges encountered this past year. The PEAQ Program is a unique program that our suppliers tell us is often duplicated, but it is never replicated,” said Scott Larson, president and COO of the Larson Company.
