Job Description
Summary
Under the direction of the Field
Sales Manager, this individual will assist the assigned Residential HVAC
customers in profitable growth by introducing the company's full
line of products and services. This is a Technical Sales position
with direct responsibility for customer sales growth and business
development.
Responsibilities
Manage the Residential HVAC customer relationship with the
Gustave A. Larson Company and represent the Company in accordance
with its policies in the assigned territory. The Sales Consultant
will be held accountable for, and compensated on the maintenance of
the existing business and the development of targeted growth. This
position will be responsible for the contractor's business
development and assistance in net profit growth by mixing and
employing the resources of the Gustave A. Larson Company for use by
the customer.
Duties
This list is representative, but not exhaustive and should be considered a

Assist in annual strategic market planning and the sales forecasting
processes for the designated sales territory.

Execute the sales process by means of customer contact, presentation,
quoting, order taking, sales follow through, customer follow up after the
sale, documentation, reporting and communication.

Coordinate the customer relationship with the sales team by matching the
appropriate team member(s) with the customer's key personnel. Mix the full
resource of the company and its suppliers to maximize the customer
relationship potential.

Assist the contractor customer in profitable growth by introducing them
to the full line of products, promotions, and services offered by the
company.

Build the customer's preference for the company through awareness of the
company's differentiated position in the market through the provision of
these value-added products and services.

Aggressively seek out and establish new customers.

Maintain a professional level of personal growth and education in the
products and services provided by the company.

Maintain accurate customer documentation and communicate the customer
status and concerns with team members.

Maintain timely reporting as directed with regard to travel, expenses,
planning and calls.

Promote the sale of all ancillary products associated with HVACR and
controls.
Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience
Requires successful
completion of an approved secondary HVAC vocational curriculum (or equivalent) and 3 years in
the industry, or minimum of 10 years experience in the Commercial or Residential HVAC industry.
The successful candidate must also have a track record of successfully creating
partnerships with internal and external customers. An engineering degree, state
designers certification, or Professional Engineering certification
is encouraged.
Other Skills and Abilities
Requires knowledge of
word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), organizer/email (MS Outlook), and presentation (MS
PowerPoint) software. Knowledge of inter-related databases (MS Access) is a
plus.
