Parts & Accessories Sales Consultant

Job Description

We are currently seeking an individual to fill a Parts & Accessories Sales Consultant position. This individual will report to the Residential HVAC Field Sales Manager.

Summary

Under the direction of the HVAC Field Sales Manager, this individual will call on Residential HVAC customers throughout a region already established, as well as targeted marketing areas. 

Responsibilities

Responsible for soliciting orders for equipment, supplies, controls, and parts and selling the Larson Company product lines and representing the Company in accordance with its policies in the assigned territory.  In addition, this individual is responsible for maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and reporting them to management and marketing.

Duties

The listed duties are meant to be an overview of the position and in no way limits the responsibilities:

  • Assist in the yearly planning, budgeting and sales forecasting processes for the assigned marketing area.
  • Aggressively prospect out and establish new customers and enhance existing relationships.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for our product lines.
  • Network with other Sales Consultants to establish uniform solicitation plans, policies and procedures.
  • Articulate how our products, services, and store teams deliver value to our customers.
  • Effectively and accurately represent the Gustave A. Larson Company as a value-added wholesale distributor.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer profile information, call reports and expense reports.
  • Assist in the sale of all ancillary products (accessories, supplies, controls, and parts) associated with HVAC equipment.
  • Actively utilize marketing tools to increase market share through new customer acquisition and enhanced relationships and growth of existing customers.
Qualification Requirements

Education and /or Experience

Requires successful completion of an approved secondary HVAC vocational curriculum and 3 years in the industry or minimum of 5 years experience in the Residential HVAC industry. This candidate must also have a track record of successfully creating partnerships with internal and external customers.

Other Skills and Abilities

Requires knowledge of word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel) and presentation (MS PowerPoint) software. Professionalism and timeliness are very important to this position.
