Inventory ManagerPrimary Responsibility: Reporting to the Vice President, Inventory Management, this individual will support the Inventory Management Department in the procurement of equipment and parts in accordance with established and approved departmental and company procedures. Duties: · Negotiate purchases with respect to price, discount, quality, quantity, delivery dates, etc. · Meet with suppliers’ representatives to discuss current and new product offerings and programs. · Place purchase orders on a daily basis to replenish stock. · Place orders daily for special ordered items. Search out source for unique products as requested by customers. · Review history exceptions in sales and adjust inventory levels as needed. · Review sales of new products and adjust inventory levels as needed with field sales or marketing manager. · Participate in or present new products for review at new product review meetings. · Compare competitive pricing from suppliers of similar products. · Approve vendor invoices for payment. Skills: · Minimum of 5 years experience in a purchasing role. · BBA degree and/or HVACR product knowledge. · Experience with an automated, computerized purchasing system. · Proven exceptional organizational and communication skills.
